The "rectoversé" page

The first "rectoversé" page pays homage to Russian
scenario writer ANDREI TARKOVSKI.
" May they believe in and laugh of their passions. Because
what they call " passion " is not the strenght of the
soul, but a friction between the soul and the outside world".
A. Tarkovski, Stalker.
Andreï Tarkovski (1932-1986) is considered and rightly so as
a scenario writer who is exceptionally gifted and inspired.
The visionary character of his art is undoubtedly best expressed
in his film, 'Stalker', made in 1979. The film is particularly successful
in its metaphysical expression.
In 'Stalker', the spectator is taken on an initiatory search. Some
have even come across this work on their own spiritual path, hence
the film's reputation.
For those who have not seen 'Stalker', we specify that it exists
on video-cassette but advise them, if possible, to discover it only
on a large screen.
Tarkovski brings together the philosophical and cultural nature
of the west and the orient that have grown closer particularly over
the last thirty years.
Tarkovski's vision is very much like "rectoversé"
thought in that it is set in an unexplored artistic zone where mystery
rubs shoulders with reason at its most rigourous, while a third
undefinable element observes the overall scene.
